Is Your Cervical Mucus Fertile Enough?

When trying to get pregnant, it is important to notice changes in your body. Identifying if your cervical mucus is fertile is important, because it is a vital and direct sign of fertility. When preparing your body for natural pregnancy and childbirth, discovering this type of mucus is not difficult if you are informed and know what signs to be aware of. Not only it is a warning sign of fertility, but is also linked to other areas of conception and pregnancy.
Being able to detect fertile cervical mucus will enable you to know if you are ovulating. This means that you can determine when you are fertile and when you are not. Conception is easier when we know some of the basics about fertile cervical mucus.

What Is Infertile Mucus?

Not all cervical mucus can be described as fertile. Infertile mucus is produced due to high levels of oestrogen. This type of mucus creates a damp feeling and has a slightly sticky texture.

When this type of cervical mucus is present, it is more difficult to become pregnant because spermatozoon cannot penetrate through it easily. This means that the likelihood of conception is decreased with cervical mucus that is described as pasty, creamy, sticky, thick or tacky.

Slightly Fertile Mucus

There is another type of cervical mucus that is simply caught in the middle between fertile and non-fertile. It is commonly described as slightly fertile mucus and has a dryer feeling instead of the dampness that is produced by infertile mucus.

This type also often has a distinctive color that is a combination of yellow and white. It is a type of mucus that doesn’t stretch and is not very mobile.

How To Spot Fertile Mucus?

The process of conceiving a child is made easier if you know how to spot fertile mucus. This mucus is present just before ovulation. This means that if you are not wanting to become pregnant, you should not experience unprotected intercourse during this time period. This type of mucus is described as more watery and slippery in texture. You will  also have a lot more fertile cervical mucus than other types of mucus.

When looking for fertile cervical mucus, you should look for mucus that is wet, watery, clear and relatively thin. This means that spermatozoon can easily swim and pregnancy is highly likely. The smell of fertile mucus will also be a warning sign, because this mucus has a sweeter scent.

My three-year-old had a seemingly ‘endless’ runny nose with watery eyes, sneezing and chest congestion. Thanks to your article on homeopathy for babies we were able to naturally treat her condition. She is now perfectly fine and we use those natural remedies on ourselves too when the seasons changes. Thank you very much for your quality articles. — Alexandre
I just wanted to let you know that our kanoe has basically saved my life and my marriage. It has changed our lives completely. My daughter now takes at least 3 naps a day! Before I had this Kanoe I was never able to get her to sleep except for when she would fall asleep on me nursing (...) I just wish I had known about it earlier. Thank you for making our life a little easier :) — Megan Williams
