Happy Healthy Holidays Are Here

November is the start of the silly season. End-of-year parties start getting under way and time, energy and resources are stretched to the limit. Children, in particular, can find this time of year exhausting: with the end of the school year on the horizon, Christmas just over it and extra activities and functions.

Food Tests Positive for GM in Baby Food

Untested GM, including DNA from antibiotic resistant genes, has been discovered by Greenpeace tests in leading brands of infant formulas. In the past fortnight, Greenpeace and fellow Truefood Network members have taken action across Australia to protest that untested GM products are being used in Australian breastmilk replacement formula for infants.

It’s Not The Bugs In Similac That Make Me Sick

Why Similac should have been recalled long before the beetle incident
With this in mind, what we really have with Similac infant formula is powered sugars, genetically modified soy protein, more sugar, safflower and soy oils, a bit of coconut oil and some vitamin chemicals made with cyanide molecules. They also throw in some DHA to make moms think it must somehow resemble breast milk fats.

Similac Make Me Sick

It has been a few days since Abbott Laboratories, makers of Similac infant formula, issued a recall after discovering some of its products may have been contaminated with beetles (and beetle larvae). The mainstream media ran with this story and parents everywhere suddenly got concerned that their babies might be drinking beetle parts. But are beetles really the scariest thing in Similac? Not by a long shot if you know anything about nutrition.

Kids in the Kitchen

As we all know, getting kids involved in the kitchen is a great way to get them interested in eating food that’s fresh, wholesome and good for them. Get them eating healthy food because they enjoy it first and foremost and later on they’ll continue with the habit for life.

It’s Party Time!

Children’s parties can be a nightmare. You drop your child off for a couple of hours of birthday party fun and they come home a horror! All those sweet sugary foods, the salt-laden treats, the artificial flavours and especially the colours – that good old hypermaking red.

The Dreaded Hayfever Season

Spring is here again and after such a cold winter it could not be more welcome. However, with spring come the sniffling, runny noses, sneezing and itchy eyes and noses. Yes, spring is hayfever season.

Beating The Baby Bulge

With celebrity mums boasting how their bodies ‘bounced back’ to size six in a matter of weeks following birth, it’s no wonder new mums feel under pressure to look great in a hurry. But most mere mortals don’t have the time, money or energy to employ a chef or personal trainer; can be confused about how many extra calories to consume when breastfeeding and are learning to juggle a whole new set of responsibilities so counting calories ends up at the bottom of mum’s to do list.

All That Fuss

Young children are considered fussy eaters. Aim to keep foods and meals varied and remember to introduce children to foods that you yourself may not like. They may have different tastes to you and they may prefer other foods.

Getting Through the School Day

School is back in full swing and the kids are busy, well, being kids. The weather’s warm, they want to play with their mates and as a result they can simply forget to eat, or are simply not interested.

Last fall, I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Bonjour Baby via a giveaway over at the ecoxpo. They had a great display and hosted a giveaway and I won an organic cotton mini bunny. It was perfect timing too, as my little girl was just born. He loves his new cuddly friend. I haven't gone back to use any other resource platform again. Your articles are very high quality and I love your selection of products too. The Bonjour Baby products are truly amazing! I always look forward to your new articles and products. — Millie, Sydney
I would just like to say how much I love Bonjour Baby! They are really fantastic! I recently emailed some about baby care to some other mums in my parenting group and now my whole parenting group are all devoted Bonjour Baby fans! I’m just so glad your website is available, thank you again and keep up the great work! — Amalia, Wakerley QLD
I just wanted to let you know that our kanoe has basically saved my life and my marriage. It has changed our lives completely. My daughter now takes at least 3 naps a day! Before I had this Kanoe I was never able to get her to sleep except for when she would fall asleep on me nursing (...) I just wish I had known about it earlier. Thank you for making our life a little easier :) — Megan Williams
Every time my little girl has her bath, after using your products (we have the entire range) our whole family would comment on how our little ones smells! We all love your products, cannot give enough praise for them. The quality of your articles are also a great resource for the new parents wanting to raise a sustainable baby like us! Much love — Sangeeta, Neutral Bay
My three-year-old had a seemingly ‘endless’ runny nose with watery eyes, sneezing and chest congestion. Thanks to your article on homeopathy for babies we were able to naturally treat her condition. She is now perfectly fine and we use those natural remedies on ourselves too when the seasons changes. Thank you very much for your quality articles. — Alexandre
Thank you Bonjour Baby, you have done a fantastic job. We discovered you from a friend and you have inspired us to live a bit greener once our little one arrived a few months ago. My sister and I are continuously looking for your new articles, as we want what is best for our bubs. So thank you again for all these quality articles. — Magda and Jenny, Alstonville
